Randy Riggs

Dr. Randy Riggs has served with Samaritan Counseling Center since 2012 as a consultant, advisor, fund developer and clergy group facilitator. He is a native of California and an honorably retired pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA).His pastoral career spans 41 years in four different churches, including as senior pastor at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Lancaster for 16 years, starting in 1996. In addition to his work at Samaritan, he is active with the Lancaster County Council of Churches and the Lancaster Theological Seminary. He is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara (bachelor’s in history), Princeton Theological Seminary (master of divinity) and San Francisco Theological Seminary (doctor of ministry). Randy’s specialized consultation interests include topics such as: Pastor as Head of Staff; Goal Setting and Staff Management for the 21st Century Church; Effective Preaching and Communication; Ecumenical and Interfaith Cooperation; Appreciative Inquiry as a Tool for Vision Casting.
