TeenHope Screening Specialist

Samaritan Counseling Center is seeking a PA licensed counselor to work with TeenHope, a mental health awareness and screening program in local schools, for the 2021-22 school year. Duties include overseeing clinical aspect of in-school screenings, support the operations specialist in overseeing flow of screening days, provide education as needed to students, families and schools about suicide prevention, provide on-site supervision to master’s level students and pre-licensed counselors, be a member of the management team, and can build clinical hours through Samaritan Counseling Center and with TeenHope referrals. This is a part-time position that occurs during the school year, and the position requires a flexible schedule to be on site in schools during screening days. Master’s degree required and PA license. Director of Consulting

Samaritan Counseling Center is seeking a new Director of Consulting Services to lead the consulting team to achieve new levels of positive impact in line with its mission of building healthy minds and strong communities.

The Director provides strategic vision for Samaritan Business Consulting, oversees programs and operations, and builds and maintains relationships with community leaders, partners, and supporters as the “face of Samaritan consulting.” The Director also acts as a revenue-producing consultant and serves on the Samaritan management team. With the combination of fixed hours for program oversight and development and revenue-producing consultation, up to full-time hours are available. Full-time benefits would include access to health insurance and a retirement savings plan. Most time would be spent during regular business hours although some evenings and weekends may be required to satisfactorily meet program development and consultation demands. Supervision duties will require oversight of 4 employees and collaboration with 11 independent consultants.

Samaritan’s consulting services consist of training, coaching, human resource consulting, and professional executive search services offered to businesses and individuals throughout our region, with a focus on organizational development. The department also coordinates the annual Ethics in Business process and award ceremony. Additionally, the consulting department includes churches and congregations via the Clergy and Congregational Care (CCC) service line.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and ten years related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates must also demonstrate strong leadership, communication, collaboration, strategic thinking, vision development and budget management skills.

As part of Samaritan Counseling Center, the Director of Consulting would join an impactful nonprofit organization serving the Lancaster County community. Samaritan provides counseling services for individuals, couples, and families; screenings for depression and suicide risk of middle and high school students; and the consulting services to congregations, clergy, businesses, and organizations.
