Research shows that 67% of the population has experienced at least one Adverse Childhood Experience. These trauma-based adversities are predictive of a multitude of toxic physical, mental and social outcomes throughout a person’s lifetime.

That’s why Samaritan Counseling Center, with funding from PA Care Partnership, is organizing a free webinar on from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on December 7. The webinar will help attendees expand their understanding of trauma and was designed for youth workers of all types, including mental health professionals, educators, and community workers.

Throughout the webinar, participants will be provided specific skills to enhance their abilities to interact in emotionally and relationally healthy ways with people impacted by trauma. Attendees will also be provided with opportunities to implement and practice the skills presented.

Two hours of CEUs are available for Pennsylvania social workers, marriage and family therapists and licensed counselors.

Registration is free but this webinar is limited to 100 participants. For more information, contact Mike Shook at mshook@scclanc.org.
