Overview

Designed for small business decision-makers who have begun or are hoping to scale their business, this series covers everything from human resource materials to operations guides to real-life scenarios that led to lawsuits for small businesses. The result will be healthy organizational growth, better employee retention, less costly employee management issues, and increased profitability.

Session One: Growing Pains

An overview of the company’s organizational chart/duties, basic operations, discussion and dialogue about the challenges in your industry and organization, and an introduction to SWOT analysis.

Session Two: Where Compliance & Culture Meet

A review of the importance of handbooks, policies, and leadership, with a look at human resources, operations manuals, and real case studies with guidance on how to address different issues within your business.

Session Three: Acquiring Talent, Not Bodies

Learn how to improve your recruiting process, have successful interviews and onboarding, and provide training and development. Also covers proper documentation and the firing process.

Session Four: Leaving a Legacy

Develop consistent systems that stay in place and protect the asset you’ve built. Also learn about marketing and growth plans, different marketing techniques, and create a plan for the upcoming years.

All classes are held on Thursday mornings from 8:30 am to 10:30 am.

Cost

The cost for this workshop is $400 for 4 sessions.

Meet the Instructor

Partnering Consultant Sarah Bedsaul will serve as the trainer for this series. Sarah brings more than a decade of knowledge and experience from her background in the overall operation of small and midsized companies. Her focus throughout her career has been on how operations and human resources work together to create a cohesive employee culture, which increases profits through retention and increased productivity.
