Fall 2017 Change Through Compassion Workshop

The 8 week Change Through Compassion Workshop is based on the Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) program developed by Kristin Neff, PhD and Chris Germer, PhD. Research on self-compassion has shown that it boosts happiness, reduces anxiety and depression, and can even help maintain healthy lifestyle habits such as diet and exercise. The Workshop meets for 2 ½ hours each week and provides participants the opportunity to develop the practices through an emphasis on experiential learning. For participants who are interested in pursuing teacher training in the MSC program, participation in this program is a requirement. Participation in the Informational Seminar is not a prerequisite to attend the Workshop.
